I was going for a $1,500 build, but I'd like some feedback if this build is worth the extra $300.
For context: I don't have anything, so I needed to include keyboard, monitor and lame speakers. I built this in iBuyPower.
Case
Raidmax Horus Gaming Case
Processor
Intel® Core™ i7-6700K Processor (4x 4.00GHz/8MB L3 Cache)
Processor Cooling
Asetek 510LC Liquid CPU Cooling System
Memory
32 GB [8 GB x4] DDR4-2800 Memory Module - Corsair
Video Card
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 - 4GB - ASUS TURBO - Single card
Motherboard
ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming -- 3x PCIe x16, 2x USB 3.1, 4x USB 3.0, 1x M.2, DDR4 Memory
Power Supply
1000 Watt - Standard 80 PLUS Bronze
Hard Drive
512 GB SanDisk X300 SSD
Optical Drive (this was included, so removing it wouldn't change the price)
LG 14x Blu-ray Re-Writer, DVD±R/±RW Burner
Sound Card
3D Premium Surround Sound Onboard
Operating System
Windows 10 Pro
Keyboard
iBUYPOWER MEK Mechanical Gaming Keyboard (Red Switch)
Mouse
iBUYPOWER Standard Gaming Mouse
Two Monitors:
24" [1920x1080] LG 24MC57HQ-P LED
Speaker System (meh, $19)
Logitech S120 2.0 Speaker System
Again, budget was $1500 but this ended up in $1815. I like the 6th gen i7, 32Gb Ram, 512 GB SSD and two monitors. I got greedy with those options, but then I came to this forum and haven't found a build like this below $2000. Thoughts?
TIA.
