Opinions on buying a new HDD

Hello i currently have a Seagate Desktop HDD ST1000DM003 that is 1tb and its roughly 4 years old valued at a rough 55 dollars,

Now i have noticed that i am filling it quite fast as i am a gamer and i download a lot of games and its also beginning to slow down so i was thinking about upgrading to a WD Gold 2TB HDD that has a buffer size of 128mb whereas my current is 64,

Is it worth the upgrade?

Forget about buffer sizes on spinning disks.

If you want speed get an SSD. Full stop.

Definitely worth it - - - swapping a Seagate drive with a new WD one is a worthwhile upgrade in itself in my opinion.
