Opinions on the Thermaltake Commander MS-III Gaming case's built in PSU

Hi,

I am considering buying this case because: 1) it looks awesome, and 2) it has a built in 550W PSU. I'm having trouble identifying what PSU this might be, seeing as they mention it on the website from where I can buy it, but it seems nowhere else.

Any info?

normally that case doesnt ship with a psu so it may be a marketing thing. if its installed at the factory its likely a thermaltake psu which will do the job but isnt what you can call a top draw power unit.
if you can buy the case without a psu and add something of better quality, if you feel you need to.

Without knowing the exact PSU it has, I would not use it. The case is not really great either, so I am sure its safe to assume the power supply is junk too.

Bad PSU is a no go.

Turns out it was a Thermaltake PSU. But the combo is no longer being offered, so I settled on a Thermaltake Versa H21 case and a Corsair VS Series VS550 PSU.

very bad case. CPU high limitation 155mm. Not good for OC Heatsinks
