Hi,

This is the motherboard: Asus B550M-A Prime Wi-Fi II & Bluetooth (DDR4) https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-b550m-a-wi-fi/

1. Is it good or necessary to buy a pc case with USB-C port at the top front of the pc case to future proof?

2. If the pc case does not have a USB-C port would it be ok to use a [USB-A male to USB-C female] adapter and plug into the USB-A 2.0 or USB-A 3.0 port at the top front of the pc case? Would the specs?/power?/current?/voltage? on the adapter act like a real USB-C port?

3. Is it true that the front USB-A port is lower specs?/power?/current?/voltage? than the USB-A port (soldered at motherboard) at the back of the PC case?

4. Would it be good to buy a pc case that has top front slot cutout for optical drive and put in a dvd drive? (case example: cooler master nr600 with odd, elite-300 case) ?

I guess with a dvd drive at the top front, the maximum front fan would be 2 instead of 3, not sure if that's bad for the temperature airflow cooling.

Thanks.

one or more... I only have one now and wish I had more. I am going to buy a hub to increase my number. Almost all my new devices use them now. And having one closer to me would be handy too.. but thats just how room layout is.. but I digress.

Hub is an easy answer, case doesn't need them then.. just a spare USB connection.

I don't have an answer for 2 & 3.

Do you need an optical drive? 99% of the cases made these days don't have space for them anymore. USB drives mostly replaced DVD. Finding a case with USB C and drive slots, that is a small list.

I saw the following USB hubs products, if I plug a hub into the pc case front USB-A port, would I be able to connect the maximum devices (to the hub ports) that the hub has and use all devices at the same time?

For example if [1 USB-A become 3 USB-A and 2 USB-C], would I be able to plug in total 5 devices (3 USB-A and 2 USB-C devices) into the hub and use all 5 devices at the same time?

USB hubs:

1 USB-A become 3 USB-A and 2 USB-C https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Multiport-Adapter-Powered-Desktop/dp/B0C1YBZRJC/ref=sr_1_6

1 USB-A become 4 USB-A and 1 USB-C https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Ultra-Slim-Supported-multiport-Compatible/dp/B08Y8CJKJC/ref=sr_1_4

1 USB-A become 4 USB-A https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Splitter-Ultra-Slim-Expander-Compatible/dp/B0CD1BHXPZ/ref=sr_1_1_sspa
