Hello, i would like to know if there is anyway of putting a password on an optical drive so it works in the same way bit locker would work on a hard drive (asks for a password to use the drive). So i put a password so i can stop someone from putting a password reset disk in and running it etc.

I don't think there is any software designed to do exactly what you want. If I were you (and the other person isn't too computer savvy), I would disconnect the SATA connection on the motherboard and tuck it somewhere under the motherboard. That way, the tray will still open and close but it wont actually read the disc.
