Optical vs laser gaming mouse

Solution
Laser mice are arguably more precise than opticals(even though they're both in principle optical mice). The laser has a thin nearly invisible mat trace/movement sensor, where as when you flip an optical around there's a large diode lighting up the mat. They're both great mice, but g-wise(how fast you swipe the mouse across the mat), the laser G700S Logitech mouse just doesn't lose track and start freaking out. But I guess it also a subjective thing, I prefer laser over "optical" mice also for their precision.
