Question Optimal/Adaptive vs. High Performance mode for better graphics card longevity?

As asked above? I know that optimal/adaptive constantly jacks up/dials down voltage according to GPU demand, but I also have held this belief about electronics in general that constantly changing voltages might be bad for them? High performance if I'm not mistaken keeps voltage constant no matter what, which sounds better but idk? Also this is assuming that temperature is well-managed whatever the mode is. Thanks.
