Every time I boot I get this message: Verifying DMI Pool Data...

This screen adds a good 15-20 seconds to my boot time so I was wondering if there was a way to remove it through BIOS. I checked out some guides, and this is what I changed:

First Boot Device: HDD
Second Boot Device: None
Third Boot Device: None

My IDE Channel 0/1 Master and Slaves are empty and the second one is my hard drive.

At this screen: http://techgage.com/reviews/gigabyte/p31_ds3l/p31_ds3l_bios_02_thumb.jpg

Drive A is disabled, and so is floppy mode 3.

I've tried everything and I can't get rid of it : <.

I can provide any addition information required.

Thanks for any help : ).

Short answer" you can't...

DMI (desktop management interface)is a bios extension that provides hardware info on the connected devices & their connection means to the OS, which can then use it in its own system management, or allow it to connect to remote management tools for networks - it has to verify every time... If something is being 'discovered' each time, and not remembered from the BIOS' tables, it can make it longer - have you done a "Load Optimized Defaults" on the system since start-up, or the last BIOS flash? Also - is no 'QuickBoot' option on GB MOBOs...
