Question Options for connecting two 3.5" drives by USB3.0 - separate or single enclosure?

Hi there.

For years, I have been running Open Media Vault on my Odroid HC2 (containing a 14TB WD HDD) but have just purchased a Beelink u59 Pro as an upgrade - I am looking to sell the Odroid, shortly.

I have also bought a 6TB WD HDD that I want to use for backing up important files from the larger drive.

What are my options for connecting both hard drives to the Beelink?

Is it better just to buy two separate enclosures and plug both in via USB3?

I was looking at a dual 3.5" enclosures but they seem so expensive in comparison to single enclosures - are there any other alternatives?

whether docking stations, full enclosures, or just straight SATA > USB cable converters;
the difference in ease-of-use and performance all depends on particular models.

what you have available and what money you're willing to spend is what makes all the difference.
