Question Optiplex 3020 Won't Boot After Installing GPU

I am trying to bring an old Dell Optiplex 3020 SFF back to life (add some RAM and a low profile GPU).

I tried installing this:

Dell AMD Radeon R5 240 1GB GDDR3 PCIe DVI DP Low Profile Video Card | 0F9P1R

But now the machine will not boot.


Is this because I failed to install some needed software? Or because the GPU is just not compatible?

Another possibility - maybe I installed the wrong RAM?

(I also added 4gb 1Rx8 PC3L 12800U-11-13-A1 samsung RAM)


Is this combination going to be able to work at all?

Hello, thanks for your reply.

I tried the GPU alone without the additional RAM (only the original 4GB RAM stick) and it did't power on.

But if I remove the GPU, the PC starts and works normally.
