Can the optiplex 3040 support intel i9 9100F? They both run on LGA 1151 but I just sent this to be 100% sure

Thats such an f as the 9100F is better than most 7th gen cpus and costs wayyy less.
are you sure, as sometimes they say incorrect stuff. Such as they said my dell Inspiron N5030 couldn't run windows 10 but I managed to
so if there a way I could workaround it, whether it being a higher wattage psu, as they run on the same socket

100 series chipset only support up to 7th gen with bios update.
