I have a optiplex755 with a hd7970 8 GB gskill 6400 e8400 gb processor 1050 powere suply, and three hard drives. One for windows, one for game rirectories and one for storage. Had to sheer 1 1\2 inch of metal off the back to fit double faced card. Re mounted the heat sink by flipping it horizontally. I used the metal i sheerd off and made a heat sink braket out of it. Mounted a 10000 rpm server fan to it. Mounted case fan in rear. Put front fan back in. Tapeed a hole in bottom of case next to heat sink and drilled a hole through edge of heatsink lip to secure the other side of it. Going to upgrade to the 3.3duo quad next for final upgrade. Did this all for $250. Plays all new i7 rated games flawlessly at 1080p on a 65" lg led. I run at 39 %c at full load with artic silver, ran 45-50 with regular paste. Will post pics if there are non believers. Happy building.

Thanks. This ain't nothing. Got a dual processor server board with 32 cores of 3.0 opteron goodmes. 64 GB of hynex ram with 2 reason r9s going in. The next build is a dual processor Xeon 3.0 6cores with as!e amount of ram. Two xfx's are going in that with 3 500 GB 10000 rph 3gbs cheeta drives. But I digress, for all who have posted questions on the 755, you have to go too dell chat and get the exe bios links 1-a20. Bios revision a20 is the only revision that will allow you to use the other higher end duo's at 1333mhz. Stay at a20. The quad duo extreme is the last chip you can put in it. Dont bother doing xeon 771mods as the dell 755 chipset is a q35 and it doesnt support allot of the xeon mods. Take it ez
