I'm looking for a graphics card that supports as a min. opengl 3.3 for use with Lightroom and ON1.

My machine setup is:

OptiPlex GX780-Tower

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0 GHz

Graphics: Intel GMA 4500 Integrated graphics

Chipset: Intel Q45/Q43 Express (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)

Windows 10 Pro

PSU is 255w

PCI slots: (1) PCI Express X16 Slot and (1) PCI Express X1 Slot

Monitor has VGA and DP connections

Thanks

I would use a GT730 it runs DX12 will be PCI 2.0 for your older board compatibility. and should run lightroom just fine. get the 1GB GDDr5 version not the GDDr3 version, it is recommended to use a 300w PSU with the 730, but since you have a tower case just upgrade the PSu to a 500w and be done. ref: https://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-730/specifications

now that said what version of lightroom are you using because if it is lightroom 6 (also known as lightroom CC) the hardware requirement for cpu and video cards are DX12 not DX10 and 4GB DDR5 REF: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/system-requirements.html

The Zotac GTX 1050, and 1050Ti Mini are drop in cards for BTX Mini Towers. They run off of the PCIe slot. The 255W PSU is the high efficienct "EPA" replacement for the older 305W PSU. They have the same power rating on the 2 -12V. rails. if you get an aftermarket PSU be sure it has enough power on the 5V. rail to match the old one.
I couldn't find an Opti GX 780. The regular 780 builds look like this.

How about my GT 1030. It supports opengl 4.5 and only uses 30w, so you won't even have to change the psu.

We have almost identical systems, with the only difference being my quad core processor in optiplex 760.
