Ok are Orbs good in what they do generally. All the reviews i read give every product they do 10/10 so i don't really trust them. Also i know they are cheap but i rather have something expensive than a metal hulk on my CPU.

the orbs perform a little better than the stock H/S on a p3,not a major improvement, although they LOOK COOL,they don't perform great.if you are running a p3(not AMD)that is not overclocked or will not be overclocked they can be used. but much better H/S are available for same or lower cost.

If you want it for the look, go for it, as for me I think it makes a nice paperweight. If you want something more reliable and quiet, get a CoolerMaster HSF or Thermaltake's Volcano II.

Thanks for the replies. However would u recommend copper core heatsinks instead??

Yes, Copper core heatsinks provide better cooling, as copper conducts heat better than any metal except silver (which is too expensive to use in a heatsink.) Although I think the copper core heatsinks are more money. (I have a copper core heatsink and it was $27 for the bare heatsink.)

I think the best copper heatsinks are aluminum with a copper base, as aluminum seems to radiate heat better, but copper conducts better. Some heatsinks use aluminum pins in a copper base, I would think those would be ideal.
