[SOLVED] Ordering a new pc and unsure what to get

Hi all,

im looking at ordering a pc and i cannot decide on Intel or AMD and what to put into them. i will be ordering a 3080 when/if they ever come back into stock!

details of the below of what i have picked so far but any help would be great!

Intel pc:

Hey there,

It's an unusual comparison as you have two vastly different CPU's there. The Ryzen is a 12c/24t CPU. In terms of most other things the Ryzen will stomp all over the I5 which is a 6c/12 t part. However, in gaming, although the high clocks on the Intel keep it in the game with high FPS, the Ryzen still outshines it more often than not in FPS.

If it were me building this, I would be taking the Ryzem based system.

Yes, Zen 3 will be a good option. With a supposed 15-20% uplift in IPC over the 3900x. Even the 5600x is a stellar performer, and would be comparable to the I5 10600k, but will be even faster at gaming than the 3xxx Zen 2 Chips.
