Hi, I'm pretty new to this. I read a bunch of threads on upgrades, but I think I'm still getting held up on where to start and how to finish.

I just purchased a new Dell 17" 2 in 1. It came with 12GB DDR4 RAM and a 1TB HDD. There is no CD Drive and Windows 10 was already factory installed. The mods I planned on making are:

1. My bootable drive for OS
- Samsung 950 PRO Series - 256GB PCIe NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V5P256BW)

2. Storage for Music and Movies
- Samsung 850 EVO - 500GB - 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E500B/AM)

3. RAM
- Kingston Technology HyperX Impact 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) 2400MHz DDR4 CL14 SODIMM Laptop Memory HX424S14IBK2/16

4. Wireless
- Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260

That being said, I bought a 256GB M.2 SSD as there is the port for that on the laptop. I don't have any software information for the Windows installed on the Laptop from the factory, but will probably buy a license for Windows 10 Pro anyways for the remote desktop functionality. I will most likely get a code and no software or USB when I do.

That being said, I'm not sure how to get my new 256GB M.2. SSD to act as my main drive. I don't know whether or not I need to clone it, or just pop it in, or when to reinstall drivers and how to figure out what needs to be reinstalled, or at what point I should add the license for Win 10 Pro, etc. I'm not sure where to start and what sequence to follow. And since its M.2. I don't think I can use a transfer cable. This is my big step 1 where I am getting held up.

The computer is also clean, no software installed aside from the OS and Kaspersky. I'll install Office, Itunes, etc etc once I have the SSD up and running.

After I get through the SSD to boot, I need to somehow get the other SSD in as well as the WIFI card. I am a Noob at this, but I'm trying to learn and understand how to do this. Its been a while since I've tried to all this so any feedback and detail is greatly greatly appreciated.

Any my apologies if this is posted in the wrong section. It looked about right to me.

Again, any feedback is greatly appreciated.
