I'm having issues with Battlefield, all of them... My computer isn't even a year old, I use compressed air to clean it often.

I seem to have FPS drops to the 40-50s in all my Battlefield games, I think it might have something to do with an update around the time of Final Stand DLC. I had 80-120FPS Average and the lowest dip I've seen/felt was 69-75FPS. I've tried everything I've seen on other forums like: 1.Turn of Origin in-game overlay (Did it) 2.Make games start as Admin (Did it) 3. Reinstalled Windows 8.1 64-Bit 2 times...
This is a horrible and annoying issue, in BF3 I was getting FPS like I said in BF4 80-120 but now it's around 60-65FPS Average and goes down to 30-40s and that's on a 32 Player, Operation Metro with a 23 ping. R.I.P FPS if I go on a 64 man server, and yes V-Sync is off.

I was told to upgrade my motherboard because it didn't support my CPU, and I did it to find out my FPS is the same...

System Specs:
CPU: FX-8350
MOBO: MSI 970 GAMING
RAM: 10GB
STORAGE: 1x1TB & 1x500GB
GPU: R9 280x Vapor-X Overclocked
PSU: 850W (Kinda ghetto, but worked fine before...)
CPU COOLER: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Idle Temps:
CPU: (35 C)
GPU: (37 C)
CASE TEMPS: (36, 55, 40 C)

Stress Temps:
CPU: (59-63 C)
GPU: (43-50 C)
CASE TEMPS: (48-68 C)
2 Minute Stress Test using Heavy Load...

Solution
Almost certainly not a hardware issue, unless your GPU frequency is throttling down and you can easily check that with MSI Afterburner or whatever it's called (monitor during gameplay. should be near max frequency like 1000MHz or whatever it's rated at).

Is SINGLE PLAYER performance the same?

If so, that means it's only related to multiplayer so may be related to some changes they made which becomes more CPU intensive but otherwise I'm not sure.

Other:
Whoever told you to upgrade your motherboard was a MORON. Your system was already working fine and then DROPPED in performance for some reason.

I tried the single player, everything worked fine, it was running at 80-130 most times, then all of a sudden it went to 47FPS and I looked at Afterburner and it said it had dropped from 98% GPU Usage to 79%, I don't know if this is much, but it isn't normal, I played the whole campaign before and never got these drops... I think it might have been and Origin update? I'm running a clean boot with no programs running except Origin and Afterburner.

This is how I fixed my Battlefield 4 problems, and it also includes things that didn't work for me for those who my fix didn't work for.

[Fix One]
Clean Boot!

1.Hold down 'Windows' key and 'R' at the same time to bring up the Run menu, from here type, "msconfig" this should bring up a new window.
2.Now that you have the msconfig window go under the Services tab and at the bottom left corner click 'Hide all Microsoft Services' after you've done that click, 'Disable All'.
3. Reboot and try it out, good luck!

[Fix Two]
Repair your game in Origin!
1.Go in the Origin client and open your Library.
2.Right click Battlefield 4 and click 'Repair game'.
3.Try it out and good luck!

[Fix Three]
Fixing settings in Origin!
1.Go in the Origin client and open your Library.
2.Right click Battlefield 4 and click 'Game properties...'.
3.Make sure the little drop down box is selecting your version of windows, 64bit or 32bit (32bit is the same as x86)
4.Make sure Disable in-game overlay is checked.
5. Go to your Origin drop down menu in the left top corner and click, 'Application Settings', then click General tab and make sure Enable cloud storage is unchecked.
6. If it doesn't help you might want to check it again...
7. Enjoy! Good luck!

[Fix Four]
When your game launches close your browser! (If this doesn't help, just leave it open.)

[Fix Five]
Disable your GPU in your web browser. (For Chrome, look it up if you want to disable it for other browsers, it's almost all the same.)
1. Go to, "about:flags" in your browser
2.Click Disable accelerated 2D canvas, make sure this is disabled.
3.Hope it works :D

[Fix Six]
You've probably heard this one 1000 times.
1.Update your drivers! I use the AMD 15.3 Beta drivers.
2.Update your motherboard drivers and BIOS :3
3. It must work :3

[Five-Seven]
See what I did there?
1.Lower your resolution or some in-game settings.
2.Type in-game "PerfOverlay.DrawFps 1" in console it should show you your FPS, if your over 60 your fine ;)
3.Make sure your PC meets the recommended specs for the game!
4.Check your temps, something may be throttling.
5.Clean your thermal paste and reapply (Kinda last resort.)
6.Close all other open programs they may cause issues, like Razer Synapse if you have an Razer equipment.
7.If your temps are high you can also try a can of compressed air and get some dust out of your fans
8.New CPU Cooler, if temps are still high, this may help. (Recommended: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO $35 Canadian)
9.Unpark CPU Cores! This is important, you can look it up on Youtube, theres tons of tutorials (JayzTwoCents is great for Windows 7)

This is my epic and total fix for any and hopefully all BF4 problems!
I really do hope this helped someone and happy gaming to all of you!
