Hello, recently my motherboard killed itself due to the circuitry not actually supporting my fx8350, and now I need to buy a new motherboard that both definitely supports a gtx 970 and fx8350.

What is a good motherboard that supports the aforementioned parts?

Additionally, I would also like to know if the problem stated here actually had anything to do with the PSU at all, and if my old corsair 860 psu is still good.

Thanks!

You will not get a MB to fully support the FX-8350 for $100, not even close.
Best with full support are Crosshair V formula Z, Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 and MSI 990FXA.

The PSU has enough Wattage however it would depend on the Tier rating as to its efficiency and stability when under load.
