OS too big for 128gb SSD

Hi,

so recently i purchased a Samsung SSD, to which i have been trying to move my OS to the SSD. However the program i have been using is EaseUS. I dont want to reinstall windows 7 as the Key is on my old case and the windows i have at the moment was installed buy a computer repair company when my windows 7 wouldn't boot. I can transfer my OS to my 2TB hard drive but not my SSD. is 128GB too small for Windows7?

its not small but u might have installed many programs

A 128GB partition is more than enough for a fresh Windows install, but the problem you have is that your existing installation resides on a partition which is much larger than 128GB, so obviously it won't fit on a 128GB SSD.

If you cannot shrink the existing Windows partition down to less than 119GB, you will have to do a fresh install.

It's either that or you'll need to buy an SSD which has the same capacity as the one which contains your existing Windows installation.

So, how would i be able to just move windows it's self and not with the programs?

Uninstall all the programs you've added since Windows was installed, move all your own files (pictures, videos, documents etc) to another location, then"shrink" the Windows partition: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/gg309169.aspx
