os version update issue

windows os version update keep reverting back to earlier version halfway through install?
i'm stuck on 1511 I think.

any idea why this is happening thanks

you may have to download a new iso and install that first. some of the older versions don't work anymore and i believe this extends to the updating as well.

get a new iso from the nedia creation tool and install that. will probably fix the issue

Yup it'll save you updating to the AU. I think the tool downloads the AU version of Win10

After you download the ISO either bun it or use something like rufus. Boot from it install it. There's only 2-3 updates to install after that

i forgot to add that you do not have to do a fresh install. windows will mount the iso file on its own. all you have to do is open the iso file in expllorer and click on set-up.exe. it will install in place over your current install. when it asks, select "save my programs and settings" and you won't have to reinstall anything. you'll just get the newer windows version and all your stuff will still be there

Well that worked perfect thanks although I think I deleted more than I should as I removed everyhing nvidia related... oops
