Ouch! The high costs of repairs...

Ouch! I put Lioheart into a superior wyrmhide armor, and for every
point of durability it costs me 11K to repair it! That makes my
previous best (5.5K for every point in a Lore'd superior shako) seem
mild by comparison. At least my Honored phase blades are
indestructible.

As it stands now, I almost literally have to sell every single blue
item that drops, just to keep my armor in repair. Imagine my surprise,
after the first battle with my new toys, when I asked Charsie to repair
them, and she handed me a whopping 230K bill! lol

Ugh. I've got 300% gold find, and I'm STILL broke...

That's nothing: to experiment with this, I made my second Fortitude in a
14% ED Great Hauberk. Repair costs per point of durability were something
like 30k... Since I'd planned to put it on my merc anyway (but didn't want
to put it in an ethereal one, just so it would keep some generic use), to
the merc it went...

General rule: don't put runewords in superior armors, if they will be used
by a melee character...

Regards,

Patrick.

How lame is that? For an extra 5-15% defense, or an added 5-10%
durability, we get screwed with 10x cost of repairs! LOFL. In
retrospect, I'm quite happy that all the previous runwords were in
normal quality items. I can imagine the irony if my Wealth had been in
a superior sacred armor. No amount of extra gold find would have been
enough to keep it repaired...

Keep Ral runes,---> Armor + Ral = fully repaired armor (and yes it does
work on runewords also)

Is there a cube recipe to recharge spells on non weapon/armor items,
like rings and amulets?

I don't know about all the claims of high runes dropping from nm countess,
but about every third trip there for me gets a ral.

I've noticed that I tend to get higher runes like DOL and HEL if
playing a game where the participents are the max. After the players
deserted me playing last night I picked up a HEL and an IST after
offing the Countess. They were not with her though but in chests I
opened after killing her...
