I'm one that still is leary to permissions that apps want. Especially when I stumble across an app that seems to need more permissions that it should.
I was really excited about the 'Shortcut Tiles' app listed in this review. When I went to the 'store' I found to apps with the exact name in this artcile (for 'Shortcut Tiles').
This is annoying because you don't know if someone is taking advantage of the name with an app that has malware.
The one with 'more' reviews (the one I think is legitimate) asks for permission to my camera. That doesn't make sense to me.... Which then in turn, makes me not want to download the app.
I'm the kind of guy that reads the permissions every App I'm installing is asking for. What I find more annoying is , it seems to be that after you install an app, that asks for few permissions, when they update, they have the ability to change the app to ask for more permissiosn
This means, if you blindy thought, I trusted this before, so , i'll just go ahead and update.... you end up giving additional permissions that the original app.
I feel that each app should, have a link to their home page that spells out the permission they are asking for, and what exactly the app is going to do with it.
