Hello. So i want to know what means that gtx 770 is outdated. I have heard that word here on toms and i really want to know what that means. Cause i was planning to get gtx 770. Does that mean that cannot run new games like the evil within, ac unity...

Solution
It's only means there is a newer generation of NVidia graphic cards available now. It would be unwise to purchase one new today if you can get a newer generation, similar performance graphics card for the same amount of money.

If you already have one, you should be able to use it and expect decent performance from it for several years to come.

no if the 770 outdated then my gpu is really outdated. I think they mean that the 770 is not the top dog anymore like it used to be now people are getting 960, 970,280,290 ect. instead of a 770 but it is still a good card.

Solution
The 770 is not outdated, but rather EOL (End of Life).
There will not be any more productions of 770s, since the 9xx series is out. The card has therefore been replaced, but is still rather capable. I would not recommend buying one as there are much better options, and prices are up as stocks go down.

If your preferred store (or any other store available to you) is selling the GTX 9xx series card (GTX 980/970/960), you should opt for one of these over the GTX 7xx series. If the GTX 9xx series is not available, there's nothing wrong with the GTX 7xx series.

Well. Is gtx 960 better in gaming since it is newer thatn gtx 770. Will that be fine four ultra gaming?

It just means that newer cards of the same performance level have been released.

There's no point in getting a GTX 760 if you can get a GTX 960 for approximately the same price.

I'd say the GTX 770 still holds a slight edge over the GTX 960, but if they cost the same, you might consider the GTX 960 for it's lower power consumption, cooler temps and newer capabilities (native DirectX12/OpenGL 4.4).

so i just saw gtx 970 on sale and i will get her. But i want to know if i5 4460 will bottleneck gtx 970. Or fx 8350 will bottleneck gtx 970. Also one more question how fx 8350 is going to perform in games who uses 2-4 coes. How will fx 8350 will perform in alan wake, la noire, resident evil 6? Will it fx 8350 perform good or bad in those games?
