[Moderator note: Marking as solved per OP post.]
I have a user who is a delegate on Outlook and essentially controls calendar appointments, sends out invites, etc. on behalf of someone else. For some reason, whenever they open the calendar of the user they manage, right-click on an event or meeting, and delete it, it pops back up a few minutes later on the user's calendar as canceled but not removed.
I figured it was because the person they managed had Exchange ActiveSync turned on but apparently not. I asked them to remove it from OWA but same issue. I looked at the settings of the person they were managing and they were indeed assigned as a delegate. Calendar permissions were custom but inbox, tasks, etc were left standard.
Really, the only thing I can think of, is that I should check the "Custom" calendar settings that were given out but even then if the user is able to delete it, I would assume the permission was set up correctly and the core of the issue is unrelated.
I'm just wondering if anybody knows why, when a delegate deletes an event from a calendar on behalf of someone else, that the event re-populates on the calendar with a changed status.
