Question Over blown display, wrong Aspect ratio?

Hi,

I've just got a new PC and TV and I can't get my TV to display the same as with the old PC and TV.

The image looks over blown, they way it looks when your TV is in the wrong Aspect ratio. I've been through all Ratio options and the only one that fills the screen in the "Just scan" option. With the old TV that would normally bring everything into proper focus but I'm still getting the over blown look no matter what ratio I'm in.

It's a new PC with a CPU, Ryzen 5 5600X and a GPU, Radeon RX 6700 XT.

ok are you setting you PC up at that resolution ?

In Windows "Settings", "Display", it recommends 1920X 1080... and I have that selected.? Is this where you set that?

How about GPU settings does this ever affect that?

This PC was built for me and shipped, there's nothing on it yet.

I've read that I might have an "Over scan" problem with my resolution/TV. Can someone explain what this is a means?
