Hey guys this was my first time over clocking I just got my cpu to 4.6 ghz on a 1.333 volt. I don’t no what programs are used to benchmark cpu. So I’ve just been running cpu intensive games with after Burner. My temps are around 53C is this safe and is this a reliable way of testing. If not what programs do you guys use

Solution
Gaming will always be a little lower than stress testing, so don't be surprised if you see a 10 or so degree difference in testing. I like hwinfo64 As you can watch it while running aida or prime. Lower the voltage until unstable then slowly increase until it is. Lower is always better. 4.6 is as high as I got as 4.7 needed crazy high voltage(1.4ish).

Aida64, prime95, and cinebench are all good tests. That temp is good, but voltage seems a little high. I know all chips vary, but my 6600k runs 4.6@1.29v. It tops out at low 60* in stress testing on a custom loop. About two hours or so of aida64.

Ok sounds good I’ll get those programs, maybe I’ll try it at 1.3
