Over limit VRAM usage on GTA V

What will happen?if I use more than the VRAM limit on gta v, my VRAM is 2gb but I want to try more than that?will it make my PC broke or something?

My PC i5-6500 with r7 370 2gb and 8gb ram

It won't hurt your system but it will affect gameplay with stuttering/lag.

You can't use more then what your gpu have. it will just swap data with system memory.

It will not break your PC.
But it will make game look awful and basically unplayable.
Textures and objects will pop in and out of view uncontrollably.

VRAM has become a marketing issue.
My understanding is that vram is more of a performance issue than a functional issue.
A game needs to have most of the data in vram that it uses most of the time.
Somewhat like real ram.
If a game needs something not in vram, it needs to get it across the pcie boundary
hopefully from real ram and hopefully not from a hard drive.
It is not informative to know to what level the available vram is filled.
Possibly much of what is there is not needed.
What is not known is the rate of vram exchange.
Vram is managed by the Graphics card driver, and by the game. There may be differences in effectiveness between amd and nvidia cards.
And differences between games.

And... no game maker wants to limit their market by
requiring huge amounts of vram. The vram you see will be appropriate to the particular card.

The limit is there for a reason. If the game ever needs to use more vram than your gpu is able to provide it will have to source from your system ram, which is much slower than vram.

I wouldn't do it if I were you. You will experience severe slowdowns in graphically intensive areas of the game (I'm talking 60 fps to 30 without warning).
