As the title states, I am done with console gaming. Paying $60 for a game that is over in 11 hours is ridiculous and since there is no way to mod console games for extended game play it's money down the drain, so having said that I'm building my first pc and need a little help. It's a budget minded gaming setup that will be able to run most AAA titles at 60fps with mods hopefully but I need some advice for a mobo. Setup is as follows:
i5-4460, Evga gtx 950 sc+, Evga 500w b1 80+ psu, Corsair vengeance 2x4gb ram, Seagate 1tb HDD, Samsung 120gb ssd, Corsair carbide 100r case, and a cheap optical drive.
I'm trying to stay in the $700 total range. I'm just having some trouble finding a mobo that has decent reviews and doesn't cost more than my gpu. I know it's a long thread but any help is appreciated.

When people say "play game x with mods" it is really hard to gauge what they mean.

90% of game mods don't affect game performance, and there are usually a few designed to improve game performance.
The other 10% are designed to make games look better at the cost of more performance requirements, or just "seem to look better" at a huge performance cost, i.e. Skyrim ENBs, you can't afford that with your budget.

The following shouldn't have any issues getting above 60FPS with AAA games at 1080P, provided you aren't going for ultra settings, medium/high depending on the game should be no issue.

i recommend you get the H97M Anniversary AsRock motherboard, it doesn't have crossfire/sli support so not sure if that matters too you. it can carry up to 32GB of 1066/1333/1600 DDR3 ram if you plan on adding more ram in the future. and has on board 3.0 headers. it also has ELNA audio caps for a entry/mainstream motherboard that's pretty good.

i got one myself in my own PC build.

edit: it also supports windows 8.1 or windows 10 if you plan on getting either one of this operating systems. (I use Windows 7 because well
i prefer it over 8/10)

Thanks for the informative reply.
I don't really care about crossfire or SLI as I only plan on using one graphics card and I'll just upgrade accordingly. What games do you generally play? I'm trying to gear a computer for running skyrim, fallout 4, gta V...etc with mods. I'm open to the critiquing of parts that I've picked, the only thing I keep running into on other forums is that people keep referring me to the radeon r9 380/390 gpus and I keep reading bad reviews on all brands of the r9s. The h97 mobos are a popular choice from what I've been reading also I'm playing on a 1080p single monitor.
