Overclock 2400mhz ram?

gonna get a new board that allows overclocking, should I keep my 2400mhz ram and try to overclock it? Or buy new 3200 ram?

G.Skill rams tend to be good out of the box overclocking rams in spite of having low advertised frequency's. You could be able to overclock DDR4-2400MHz rams to 2666/2933 and perhaps 3000MHz but you will need to be wary of the timings and voltage.
