Question Overclock Biostar H61MGV3

Hi

Im looking to buy a intel core i7 2600k only because i want to OC, the problem is my MoBo, i searched in many pages and there is not a lot of information from this board.

My questions:

Inside the Setup Bios there is Perfomance setup where i can change my CPU RATIO and each Core, actually i have a i5 3330 (3.0-3.2 Ghz) i can not upload this item over 30x, i can under and low but not over 30, so if i put a i7 2600k can i be able to change this CPU RATIO? Why i cant over 30x with in my i5 3330 ?

I did read the manual of the MoBo, and specifies that the Perfomance item its able if im looking for Overclock, but doesn't say no more (only warnings about temperature)

I read a lot of tutorials where teachd how to OC, but no one shows my BIOS Setup.


BIOS: Biostar H61MGV3 Ver 7.1
Ram: DDR3 2x4Gb 1600 Mhz
Proc: Intel Core i5 3330
Graphics: GTX 960
PS: 650w 80+
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master 212 Black Edition

I can edit the CPU Ratio over 30 but doesnt change, if i put 35 or 9999 anyway i not going to be able to change it returns to 30

So if i buy i7 2600k or 3770k i be able to change the CPU RATIO? obviously not much because i cant change voltages

oh. you have a "h" motherobard, need a "Z" board to overclock like the z68 or z77 for 3rd gen cpu
