[SOLVED] Overclock Core 2 Quad pc or sell for lga 1151 pc

I am slightly intimidated by overlocking my Core 2 Quad 94000 as this will be my first time and I do not have a great motherboard to do it with. Also, should I not bother doing this and sell my current pc to just get a lga 1151 cpu prebuit and stick my gtx 750 ti in?

Would getting a prebuit with a mediocore cpu and slapping in gtx 750 ti be better than going for a ryzen apu build?
