How would I overclock my AMD E-450 APU? its 1.60ghz and some programs change the clock but doesnt affect anything. How can i permanently overclock it to a good speed like 2.40ghz or 2.20ghz? maybe 3.00ghz? If i can, can you list the programs required for this or a modded bios for this.

I don't believe you can overclock as the AMD E-450 has locked multipliers. But you could look for an unlocked BIOS it will be hard to find though. If you could find a bios then you would also have to worry about the extra heat output.

What about unlocking the bios , modified bios?

Not many temperature programs work with the processor I have , so I have to guess. seems lke its in the 50s . Its not able to cook eggs like my other laptop.

You really wouldn't wanna overclock this processor anyway as it's a low power processor, it's meant for browsing and maybe some really really light gaming, which means the cooler that comes with it most definitely wont be top of the line.

You could look for a unlocked BIOS for your specific laptop but it would be a hassle.

Ill take the risk.

Checked some forms , like this:

Seems like BrazosTweaker does the job but only at certain clocks. Not sure what to enter in brazostweaker.

Anything like BrazosTweaker is whats called an "emptyclock" which means its displaying a diffrent clock speed than the processor is really running at (which is the stock clock speed). The only way would be to find a unlocked bios and work from there.

If you saw the thread , omari overclocked sucessfully at certain clocks. I know brazostweak can be a empty clock but it depends which one you do.
