Hi, i'm using Samsung M378A2K43BB1-CPB, B-die ram, 8gbx2stick with motherboard Asrock B450m. Ram run stable at 3000mhz@1.30v with Timing 15-15-15-36.
However while playing PUBG yesterday i noticed I got lower fps 110-125, compare to previous ram 8gbx2 2666mhz around 130-150fps.
-----
My question is, is it overclock ram 3000mhz got different performance compare to factory stock 3000mhz?Is it factory stock is much better?Or is it just because this game is unoptimized?

My setup:
Ryzen 5 2600
Asrock B450m
1070ti
8gbx 2 (M378A2K43BB1-CPB)

Factory stock would be better because it is already running at 3000 Mhz. This means you can overclock and push it further.

For a lower speed ram, yes surely you can overclock it to 3000 Mhz, but at the expense of increasing CL and dram voltage.
After all, it's a simple math
- Ram 3000 Mhz (stock) ---> overclock 200 Mhz to reach 3200 Mhz
- Ram 2400 Mhz (stock) ---> overclock 800 Mhz to reach 3200 Mhz

Obviously putting the extra 800 Mhz to reach the same overclock is going to cost your lower end ram a lot more voltage.
