Now, I know it's pretty common knowledge that this is "impossible" right? I work with alot of dells and know that there is no setting in the bios to change FSB or anything...

So, how is this guy doing this?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Dell-Optiplex-960-Quad-Core-3-0GHz-3GB-755-XP-Pro_W0QQitemZ190338542699QQcmdZViewItemQQptZDesktop_PCs?hash=item2c510fac6b

He's got a Dell Optiplex 760 with a Q6600 @ 3ghz. From the pictures it doesn't look like he's swapped the board out or anything... it looks like a dell oem board.

Interesting....

Thanks ! I might try that w\ a spare cpu I have laying around. If I read it right, the motherboard needs to support the higher FSB : as an optiplex 960 like the one in that ebay auction probably supports both 1333 and 1600.

Thanks Geno! I'd actually never heard of that... but I found a guide showing the pins to do and what not.

Your link only linked me to the forums, i had to google.
