I'm thinking about overclocking my GPU because of its overclocking reputation, Now I'm thinking about my PSU, Will my PSU be able to handle an overclock to the GPU. Because I've read the Power Requirements for my GPU and it says 600W minimum. And if god did not forbid, How many MHz should I add and where should I start, I'm new to overclocking and I need some proper guidance. You may be intrigued as to why am I overclocking this GPU, I have several reasons, I'm having some bad fps on some games like AC Syndicate, Fallout 4, Witcher 3, Dying Light. etc etc. Which this card cannot maintain a 60 FPS without Nvidia Gameworks at maximum settings 1080p. The card clean I believe. Adaptive Sync is enabled. got a

. Thankyou verymuch

It's going to come down to your total power consumption for your system. I previously running SLI 970's stock and my total power consumption was near 560w then moved to a 980ti which I currently have overclocked my consumption is 530w. My guess would suggest you'd be running pretty high if you overclocked and would need a larger PSU.

so I won't be able to overclock my gpu using my current psu ? 🙁

How about updating my BIOS? can you guide me? 😀

The Coolermaster V650 made by Enhance Electronics is one of the few units from Coolermaster that is excellent. Overclock all you want, you are fine. I'm running an overclocked 2600K ( 4.5Ghz ) and an EVGA 980 Ti SC ACX 2.0 off a Seasonic Platinum 660w. You won't come anywhere near stressing that unit.

I'm hoping this is true, btw how many mhz should I add to Core Clock and Memory Clock?. Should I choose OC mode or Gaming mode in OC GURU II
