Overclocking a monitor?

Ok so my monitor is originally 60hz and I managed to changed it to 80hz and can't go past that. So will my max noticeable fps actually be 80fps and not 60fps anymore?

if you have vsync on, yes, your max potential vsync fps will be 80fps Unlikely you can oc a 60hz monitor that high though.
