well as you can see i had to go to 1.488 to get it there stable. You may actually have to make the cpu colder in order to get it there. Have you tried using a different Multi. 3.2 stable is quite good tho and i did not see much of an increase in performance at 3.4 which is why i keep it at 3.2 that and i dont have to overvolt it to get stable 3.2, 1.37 vcore

I just bought this chip on a budget build and I was only expecting to get it to a 3.0. Seeing that it goes easily to 3.0 I think i'll just leave it there. But this thread has a lot of great info

3.2 is just as easy most people dont have to overvolt just up the Multi to 16. But 3.0 from 2.6 is quite a good overclock 15%

Yeah I agree, I would be happy from a 2.6 to a 3.0

Currently i'm running a 1.8 OC @ 2.4 but that was disappointing seeing it's a opteron 165 which should have hit at least 2.8 or 3.0

But I don't even have my 5000+ yet, it gets delivered tomorrow so i'll see if it goes to 3.2 and primes

What mobo, HSF, and vcore are you using? Also what are your temps Idle and Load?
