Hm. I did not know that. I looked on the NewEgg and it's not there but as AM2+. 🙁

I did notice though that Biostar says it's TA790GX XE mobo is compatible with the Phenom II X4 925? I wonder if they have the samples now and have confirmed compatibility, or are assuming it is because of the same architecture and being within wattage limits?

Hmmm. Man, I want an 890 chipset board before they re-write the BIOS features for ACC!!! lol

ACC will overclock higher besides the old bios will be available with an easy flash.

My bad, the highest socketAM3+ IS THE 910.

I replaced my AM2+ ASRock mobo and Phenom 9850 last night with a Biostar AM2+ mobo and PhenomII X3 720BE...and it is fast.

I managed to unlock the 4th core too...it's stable at 3.34GHz right now. Gonna try to get it stable at 3.5 or 3.6 by the end of the night.

I just saw this. I think your SB600 was holding back the 9850.

I have a SB700 and 9950 BE and can't get past 204 x 14.5 for 2.94.

I'd upgrade to the SB750 but will probably wait for the chance to do DDR3 at the same time, as it appears you did.
