Hi all, would like to find a stable OC for my fx-9590, has anyone any experience? On it's base clock of 4.7 GHz it's running verry stable, cpu tems go from 23 °C (= 77 °F) to 65 °C (= 149 °F) at 100% load. So I'm thining it could handle a overclock of 5GHz. But I don't really know where to start. As far as power cosumption goes: it takes about 550W total (whole system) at 100% load.

This is my setup:
Processor: AMD FX-9590@ 4.7GHz
Cooling: Corsair H100i
Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z
Graphics card: NVIDIA GTX 770 (planning to upgrade to 980ti)
Power supply: Corsair CS750M
Primary hard drive: WD BLue WD10EZEX 1 TB
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

Solution
Every chip is different, so you need to test it out yourself. Just remember that the extra energy you put into that inefficient CPU won't provide as good of a return as the same energy being put into your graphics card. (for gaming, for data crunching it might be CPU or might be pointless depending on your bottleneck)
