With Haswell CPUs there have been no evidence of turning off C-states helping in overclocking. So turn C-states on, this will make sure that your CPU underclocks itself when it doesn't need the extra power.
So if I turn C-states on it'll go back to what it normally is, then when it needs the power it will automatically overclock? If that's the case, can I enable that in the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility? Or does it have to be directly in the BIOS?
I'm pretty sure it has to be from the BIOS, my version of XTU doesn't have it. Also, it will not just go back to stock, it will go all the way down to 800 MHZ.
