Overclocking FX 8320

Hello,

I've never OC'ed my CPU before, and I came here to ask for help. I have a FX 8320 currently running @ 2.91GHz, and I'd like to boost it up to around 3.5GHz. I have a CX500M PSU w/ 8gbs of 1333MHz RAM and a GTX 760.

How would I do it safely?

2,91?? thats underclocked
My FX8320 runs at 3,7GHz stock with a 4,0GHz Turbo.

your psu is borderline so don't overclock, but if you change psu also change the heatsink as amd's are crap
also it depends on your mobo, 1333 ram indicate a crappy overclocking chipset.

It's the gigabyte 78lmt-s2p. Also I don't have a stock cooler, I have the GlacialTech F101,

gigabyte 78lmt-s2p ... dont overclock a 8-core FX on this mobo, it will fry itself. It has 3+1 powerphases and no cooling on the vrm's.
Get a gigabyte 970A-UD3P to get the most out of your FX8320.

Did you check the clock speed from task manager, does it fluctuate?

That board even struggles with it at stock speed.
