Hey everyone, Im usually in the computer building section, but today I need some help on OCing. Ive never done it before and have no idea which program to stress test on and how to use it. I am using the ASRock tunning utilty, but if needed I can go into BIOS.

I only think OCing affects motherboard and CPU, so thats What I'll put down.

CPU: Intel i3 Ivy Bridge 3220
Motherboard: ASRock H61iCafe

Any help and tips are appreciated.

First off, overclocking an i3 is tricky. You have to raise the FSB, and that makes things hard. You will have to overclock your ram, North Bridge, and maybe another thing I cant remember at the moment. You can set them back to normal after the overclock though. As for stressing, Prime 95 is my favorite. (I have a 3570k @ 4.2)

h61 chipset neither support multipliyer overclock nor bclk overclock

if yout board supports something like gpu boost then enable it and it will automatically overclock your cpu to ~3.4ghz

and that is it
its limit for h61 and i3
