Hi. Sorry for bad english. I have some questions.

What is the maximum safe voltage for i5 4690k. I want to use this cpu for at least 7 years in 24/7. And how about my present conditions? Is that good?

Currently im switching to 4.3ghz at 1.2024 vcore (adaptive / auto voltage mode) on intel speedup technology mode (turbo mode). Maximum temperature is 62c.

Cpu: Intel Core i5 4690k
Gpu: msi gtx 1070 armor
Mdb: Asrock h81m-vgs4
Ram: 12gb ddr3 apacer & crucial
Ssd: adata su800 128gb
Pwr: coolermaster 650w
Clr: liquidmaster 120 lite

  1. Is that necessary to override cpu chache voltage and speed?
  2. Is that motherboard safe for overclock? (In override mode)

H81 motherboards were only good for overclocking the Pentium G3258. The MSI H81 I had would not allow manual voltage tweaking on anything other than the G3258, but it would allow multiplier changes for frequency overclock.

Max voltage is 1.4v, but 1.35v is more typical for a safe max. But you won't be able to do this with an H81 motherboard.

Your current conditions are about the best you can do given you have an H81. If I remember correctly, 4.3GHz was about the max I could do with my H81 + 4690K while testing w/ Prime95. 4.4GHz and higher would crash at some point because there wasn't enough voltage.

Z87 and Z97 motherboards are good for overclocking 4th-gen Intel CPUs.

Thank you
May that motherboard damage the cpu in long term on current conditions?
