lkn118 :
These are my spec stated below. I run the i5 at clock speed at 2.66Ghz. Room temperature at 28-32C, CPU idle at 43C, when 100% loaded it raises to 70C (highest), average 64C. Using the Intel Stock cooler, and going to buy a Corsair H50 Liquid Cooler. 3.2 is still too slow. I want to OC to 3.6 to 3.8 if possible. can i still run 3.8 in stock voltages? or do I need to tweak voltages?
I also have an OCed HD5750 running at 800MHz clock and 1300MHz Memory. Reached 88C max. Is it overheated?
Thanks for your help.
About the video card, I think you would want to bring down the overclock for the GPU Core and Memory Clock.
You have overclock it to max I see, that is too much and your are going to fried your video card if you don't.
Set it as Default From 700 GPU Core then set it to 750 and The Memory clock from 1150 to 1200(MHz)
Also make sure that you do have some good air flow in your case or a good PCI VGA Cooler to help cool down the video card.
There is a reason why I said that, some of the video card from the 5750 RAM do not have direct contact with the heatsink.
It's not a high-end card and it doesn't take up much power and it's a smaller card than the 5770, it's a lower than the 5770,
Now about the Intel i5 you have. I think it would be best to wait until you have your H50, temps would be or I should say go down to low 30's.
If you overclock your CPU correctly @3.6Ghz you can see temp at idle at 30 to mid 30's. and full load at 50,49,51,53
I just help someone overclock their Intel i5 Quad Core at 3.6Ghz and with a 5870, wow fast and stable.
Also would want to set the voltage for CPU Vcore either to 1.25 to 1.27 voltages.
Never on Auto
I have my friend's voltage at 1.232 Voltages
also the QPI/Vtt voltage at 1.150
CPU PLL at 1.80
When I finish building it and overclocking it
Also make sure you test everything with Memtest86 and Prime
