Hi all, I've been interested in trying to boost the performance of my I7-2600 (non K model) and I want to make sure I have everything that I need before I even attempt it. I'm currently running the stock cooler (and am well aware it needs to be upgraded to do this), does anybody have any recommendations as to the best cooling system to go for?

As far as gpu/power supply go, I have an HD Radeon 6870 and am running a Rosewill Capstone 450.

Basically, what will I need to upgrade in order to achieve the 4-4.2 range for my 2600, and can anybody recommend a guide on how to do this?

Thanks a lot!

K means unlocked, non-K means locked. You can not overclock your core. Yes, there is a way but it overclocks everything on that side of the board and is not recommended. So if you wanted to overclock, you should have bought the K model.

^^This, and you also run the risk of damaging other parts OCing through FSB (BCLK). (or is it just Ivy Bridge?)
