Hi all,

I'm currently planning a PC build for the upcoming Black Friday sale. I'm planning on a Mini-ITX system. I was talking to a friend and he was telling me that overclocking on a M-ITX Mobo isn't as good as ATX. He said something about a power interface. I want to know if this is true, because I plan on purchasing a 9700k and OCing it.
If the information helps, I was planning on using the ASUS ROG STRIX z370-I ITX Mobo and the Dark Rock Pro 3 in the Evolv ITX Mini TG. Thanks for all the help.

Solution
I think that case was before when you couldn't oc well on itx motherboards.

Only thing that you are missing is extra 2 ram slots, and pcie slots, VRM is a little beefier 10 vs 9 or 8 (6+2If im right) and one m.2 is behind board.

Keep in mind, if you are using tower cooler, there might be issue where VRM's will be hitting high temps, soo airflow is needed.

Solution
I might suggest a z390 based ITX motherboard if you will be installing a 9th gen K processor and will be overclocking it.
Z390 has improvements designed for 8 core processors.
I think there is a similar ASUS ROG STRIX z390-I gaming.

You will also need good cooling which may be hard to come by in a small ITX case.
What case did you have in mind?
