Hello, I replaced my i5 2500k 3.3 ghz stock fan today with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO because I wanted to overclock but I don't really know how much I can overclock it to because I am still pretty noob at this stuff.

I currently have 28-32 celsius idle tempratures on the 4 cores, around 50 using the prime95 stresstest (I've only ran it for about 30 minutes, though) and 40 in BIOS. Is that alright for the stock frequency using this cooler?

And if it's alright, how much would you recommend me to overclock to? Thanks in advance.

Edit: My mobo is a MSI P67A-C45 in case you're wondering.

Hi,
Yeah temps are great.

Usually that cpu can get 4.2 on stock cooler without doing much. Just google overclocking core i5-2500k and you will get a ton of guides.
You will probably be able to get 4.6 without problems and keeping the temps under 65 degree.

Alright, thanks for your answer. As I said I am completely noob at overclocking, is it a hard process to do in overall? Do you have to be as careful as some of the guides say?

okay, I will check that site out!
