I have just overclocked my system and I really am happy with the results.

FSB 241

Intel Pentium 4 2.6GHz - 3.15GHz
2X256 Corsair XMS DDR 333@2.7V - 401MHz
GeForce FX 5900 256mb - Core 454MHz Mem 936MHz
Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer
120GB Maxtor SATA 150 (Diamond 9 plus or somthin)
LiteOn 48X24X48X16 CDRW/DVD Combo

3DMark 2003 Results
Before o/c 5160
After o/c 7098

Now I 100% positive that it is just the memory holding me back from going faster, but thats my fault for buying pc2700, I guess Ill be saving for pc 4000. I am just using stock cooling. I am very very happy with this system and wouldnt you be for ~900$

Don't mean to put ya down...but that is about the average overclock that 2.6's take...if not a little less...

Although...still faster than my computer...

Like I said, I am 100% positive that my memory is holding me back. Im using stock cooling and Im getting great overclocking results. I dont know but Ill take a 40% boost in speed any day :)

formula (100/5000)*7000=140%

My main point of this post is that MSI 865PE NEO2 LS board rocks, it overclocks well (and very easily).

I know my memory is holding me back because if I up the FSB a couple more MHz when I load 3dmark 2003 and start it after a few tests it will crash to desktop, I would give my memory more voltage but Im not sure what that would do to the longterm life of my memory.

If you have any suggestions for me Ill be glad to take them.
(the only cooling I could get better than what I got would be liquid, I have 10 fans in my case)

Ill post later tonight if the extra voltage will give me a few extra MHz. If I can get the FSB to 250 I will be thrilled. I would also be thrilled to get better memory :)
The maximum FSB my mobo is/says its cabable of is 500MHz so 2GHz FSB. I would love to be able to change my processor multiplier and get liquid cooling and test it. I probably would have to go with more extreme cooling though.

it would be awsome to have a 2GHz FSB with 1GHz ddr or better lol.
well it wont be too many years.. DDRII

Hey, I have the same board too, but I'm having trouble to increase my FSB without increasing the AGP/PCI bus clock. Is there anyway to increase fsb on this board while APG/PCI is holding at 66.6/33.3??

make that 100% :)
