Overclocking R7 240

I recently installed MSI AfterBurner to overclock my R7 240 and I was able to achieve an overclock to 950Mhz from 750 and overclocked my memory to 1000Mhz. However I was wondering if I could overclock higher than the max settings on MSI AfterBurner. My GPU was only running 5 degrees hotter (is up from 49 to 54), with increased fan speed. I also don't want to risk damaging my card, since I am assuming the max OC is set that low for a reason, although I did see another thread when someone overclocked their R7 240 to 1.5Ghz.

I ended up overclocking my r7 240 to 1385mhz core clock and 1280 memory clock. Did not want to increase higher because some of my games randomly crashed and the GPU was over 70 degrees C.
