I have a 800MHz Duron on a ABIT KT7 Mobo w/VIA133 chipset. On the CPU I have the Coolmaster Heatsink/fan.

Do you have any tips for me If I were to overclock to 1000MHz?

First you wnat to connect the l1 bridges to unlock the CPU multiplyer then step up the mult. .5 test for stability and if stable move to next mult. for unstable system up the cpu Vcore as needed and watch your cpu temp. Also watch your cpu temp. I sugest a better HSF.

Drop 20 dollars on a phatty heat sinc, and 20 on some thermal goop, this 40 dollars will save you a lot of money,
does your bios keep tabs on temp? if so eagle eye it at first bootup and reboot and check after an hour.

get a globalwin or alpha heatsink, some artic silver thermal goop close them L1 bridges. and load motherboard monitor so you can keep a constant eye on those temps.
also make sure you have a quality 300w (or better) power supply and plenty of airflow through your case.

who is more foolish...
the fool, or the fool that takes his advice?
